Theatre education

Productions

As a director, I lead a collaborative, structured rehearsal process that both supports artistic growth and yields a professional final performance. I prioritize ensemble-building and creating and maintaining a culture of positivity and productivity, encourage actor choice, and emphasize character development in the creative process. Whenever possible, I involve children in the technical theatre and stagecraft elements of the production to foster a comprehensive understanding of theatre arts.

Classroom lessons

My classroom theatre curricula aim to develop theatre skills across many areas of theatre arts, including acting, puppetry, physical theatre, technical theatre, and more. I encourage creative development through a discovery and exploration based teaching model and enjoy integrating other disciplines with theatre to support learning in all areas. I create a positive and supportive classroom culture through established routines and structure that encourages students to feel brave enough to explore and express themselves.

Caregiver-Child Classes

My Caregiver-Child Theatre Classes are designed for children aged 1 - 5 and their caregivers. Partnered activities rooted in Sensory Theatre practices encourage active engagement of all participants. Integrating music, movement, sensory materials, and theatre methods and techniques, these classes offer joyful and imaginative experiences that strengthen the bond between caregiver, child, and community.
